Ithaca Lace Day
Lace Day News - Speakers & Workshops (Names only)
Ithaca Lace Day is generally the Saturday before Columbus Day, at the
Ramada Inn in Ithaca, New York, on Triphammer Road in front of Pyramid Mall.
(Please read the note at the bottom of this page
if you wish to stay at the Ramada.)
On Saturday, from 9:00 AM through 4:00 PM, everyone who appreciates lace is invited
to come and see what we do. (Best time is before 2.)

- Special Guest Lecture & Slide Show at 12:45!
Vendor merchandise includes:
- Lacemaking books and videotapes
- Bobbins, lace pillows, and other lacemaking tools
- Tatting shuttles
- Huge variety of thread types and colors
- Antique and collectible lace and linens
- Jewelry and other items of handmade lace.
To help keep Lace Day a free educational event open to the public,
the Finger Lakes Lace Guild will be selling special limited-edition
commemorative "2009 Ithaca Lace Day" bobbins. In addition, a wide variety
of raffle prizes are contributed by our vendors, individuals, and other lace
organizations. A raffle ticket is available for a $1.00 donation to the Guild,
three tickets for $2.00. The drawings are held during the Saturday evening
banquet; prize recipients who are not present will be notified.

Other Conference events run throughout the weekend and generally require advance registration.
These events include:

Reserving rooms at the Ramada
Rooms can be hard to find in Ithaca in the fall, so those wishing to stay at the Ramada Inn Airport
should book well in advance and cancel if necessary, adhering to the cancellation guidelines set
by the Ramada Inn. Call the local number (607) 257-3100 and ask for the room block being held for
the Finger Lakes Lace Guild.
